How do we use our money?

Most of the net profit is reinvested in our producers. Most of them are women. The remainder – at least CHF 10 per scarf sold – finances the activities of the non-profit organization Teach a Child - Africa , which enables talented orphans in Kenya to attend a secondary school.

We want to offer people in hard-to-reach countries a better livelihood by buying directly from them what they produce themselves. We mainly buy from women and from small manufacturers.

The minds behind FairSilk are experienced professionals from international development cooperation. We became social entrepreneurs so that people could have a better livelihood - be it through more stable incomes or through life-changing education.
